The main type of animation where After Effects excels is motion graphics / info-graphics. You'll see this style frequently in commercials and explainer videos online. This type of animation focuses on strong 2D design and leverages After Effects unparallelled compositing features to animate slick transitions between scenes. Premiere Pro, being an Adobe product, uses many of the After Effects features for its motion graphics functions. DaVinci's motion graphics capabilities are more significant in scope than Premiere Pro. To get the Adobe software to match these capabilities, you would likely need both Premiere and After Effects.

  1. After Effects VS Adobe Premiere 1 Timeline. There are numerous editing differences between the two programs, but we will start with the timeline as it perhaps best illustrates the different focus of each package.
  2. I understand the differences between Illustrator and photoshop but these two are confounding. What is the difference between Photoshop and Illustrator? In a nutshell:

Effects
  • Illustrator is an illustration program, i.e. for drawing things.
  • Photoshop is an image manipulation program, i.e. for editing existing photos and images.

A lot of people are confused about the differences, and many people mistakenly assume these two programs are different versions of the same application. While it is true that they each share many features and similarities, they are designed for quite different purposes.

Illustrator is used for creating original graphics and illustrations. Artists use tools to draw lines, curves and shapes. Adobe premiere cc. Importantly, these tools are vector-based, meaning the information is stored as descriptions of shapes rather than individual pixels. Vector objects can be resized and manipulated without losing quality. They have various other advantages as well.

On the other hand, Photoshop is designed to work with bitmap images, i.e. files in which image information is stored as individual pixels. This is ideal for photographs and certain other types of image. Note that bitmap images cannot be resized without some sort of quality compromise.

Note: Photoshop CS3 does include some vector tools, but vector object become bitmaps once the file is 'finished' (rasterized or saved).
